Interesting find Martin. The advert’s very light on key details like V5, state of chassis, windscreen, engine, etc ... but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Nova with a V4 Ford engine. Could potentially be an interesting project

Wowsers. I have seen some project cars in my time and this is up there with the best of them. ADD Mk1 sunroof canopy (so not a Southampton car) with a Mk2 rear bumper added, possibly to cover the V4 engine (Uncle Henry's most unloved). Still, you can appreciate the logic - the V4 is no longer than a boxer engine, and the Ford displaces 2 litres and produces something a little over 100 bhp, if I remember correctly, which was not bad for the time. A socking great balancer shaft ran within the vee to counter all the secondary vibration from the unusual piston angles.

I think Lancia did a better job by using a very narrow vee angle, later copied by VW for the Corrado 6-cylinder. And Bugatti of course

can't see the front undertray or side pods, but even without a v5 must be worth more than £500 + some nice wheels too `¬)
