    Can’t beat a good trailer ! 😂😂
I could be tempted to sort it, but it is the other side of the country for where I now am.
    I do need a project ……..
    Watch this space 😂

I don't suppose anyone knows the build number or possible history, or previous owners so I can work out what has or hasn't been done

With any project you are better off just starting from scratch and checking everything.
I made a comment on marketplace and straight away was offered a discount being a keen nova enthusiast.
Offer 2k and see what they say. It is probably worth it but, as I said, don’t fully trust the history.

Does anyone know tge buikd number or the registration, it says 1982, but unsure if that's the body or the beetle

Good luck hope things work out on the purchase.
Most cars from this era retained the Reg plate of the donor vehicle.

Unless the owner kept some paperwork, MOTs etc, I don't think it is possible to ascertain exactly when the Nova conversion was completed.

As for the build number, there is (should be) a basic VIN tag in the front (boot) with a body number, and date the 'glass was laid.
Some Mk1 cars from the early Elam era didn't have these.

    Cheers everyone

Well a deal has been struck, and I pick the car up on Saturday

Feeling a little nervous, which is weird for me. But looking forward to stripping the car down and restoring it

With the car being a 82 ? It will be 40 years old next year. 11 years younger than me

I might even try and get the registration from my first car which was a 72 plate and stick on it
