Nice update, good to hear you are mobile - well done.
I am going for 195 wide tyres at the front for my build as well - for the same reason.

You've impressed us by getting the car to be drivable in one day, then you post the thumbnail instead of the picture, come on man - you're better than that ;-)

You're right I should do better - I was a graphic designer for 30 years.
    Thumbnail now corrected...

Opinion on the matt black bonnet?
It'll need more prep to go orange but I may go for it anyway.

I think the black bonnet works since your louvre is also black .... unless you wanted to go orange with the bonnet but keep the nostrils black?

The opinions expressed in my posts may not be made in a sound mind and should be taken in the spirit intended, Jack Daniels is fine. Autism isn't something you get or can be 'cured of', it is the way we are wired, differently.

sorry, I hate the black bonnet! err....and I never said I had EQ

Seriously though, the colour scheme vibe you have is 70's, and the black bonnet is so not 70's. It really spoils the overall flow of the car

I have to agree, it doesn't "jive" with the colour scheme

OK, the DeTomaso Pantera GT4 would have had this treatment, but only to stop reflection into the drivers eyes. Not necessary in the slightest with the Nova - there is absolutely no way to see the top of the bonnet when seated.

I reflect the views above - orange bonnet (and black louvres!)

Thanks for all the comments. I'll go for orange and post at the end of the week.

Matt black bonnets were prominent in the 70s though.
Vivas, Cortinas, Escorts etc all had them and some came from the
manufacturer like that along with stripes to shift more units of an otherwise average saloon.
